How to Set the Conversion Coefficient (IPU)
Value on gas meter
Coefficient you will set on Homebase
1 imp = 0,1 m3
1 imp = 0,01 m3
1 imp = 0,001 m3
1 imp = 0,0001 m3
The gas measurement in the application displays in kWh instead of m³. Why?
Kilowatts per hour are more objective. Natural gas is supplied from different sources, and its quality is not always the same. Burning 1 m³ of natural gas from two different sources with two different combustion heat generates different amounts of energy.
The use of the power unit (kWh) instead of volume unit (m³) better describes the quantity of supplied energy produced by burning natural gas. You will find out the exact conversion factor from m³ to kWh when you get the bill. Gas suppliers report both kWh and m³ on invoices. The Energomonitor application uses a coefficient of 10.5 for the conversion of m³ per kWh (1m³ = 10.5 kWh)
What types of gas meters are Relaysense Gas probes compatible with?
We offer 3 types of probes (each Relaysense Gas package includes all 3 types):
- type A compatible with domestic membrane gas meters Schlumberger GALLUS 2000, sizes G1,6 – G2,5 – G4.
- type B compatible with domestic membrane gas meters Itron-Actaris RF1 – G4 RF1 – G6.
- type C compatible with domestic membrane gas meters Elster-Instromet, types BK-G1,6 – BK-G100.
If none of these three fits with the client's gas meter, it's possible to use universal relay cable, but it needs an expert level of installation.
How to arrange the gas meter replacement for the model with output for remote data collection?
The distribution company will exchange the gas meter or electricity meter on request. Distribution companies are legally obliged to do so. Sometimes they do it for free, sometimes for a fee. Therefore, it is necessary to contact the distribution company, not the dealer and ask for a device with output for remote data collection.
How can the deduction on the gas meter be put into operation when this already has a remote data transmitter installed by a distributor?
Just by setting up of another gas meter with an interface for remote data collection or by any agreement with a distribution company. This is mainly the problem of corporate clients where the distribution company had installed their device on the gas meter.
